We have learnt it turning on the TV this morning, Yves Saint Laurent has died at 11:30 pm, at the age of 71,  last night in Paris (France), six years after having presented his last Haute Couture runway show.

Katoucha’s Body found… Family asking for new Autopsy

katoucha on a dior runway show FW archivesIn a post earlier today, FashionReporters’ News is revealing that, after the discovery of Katoucha’s corpse in Paris on February 28, the police concluded that it was an accident to cause her death. However, the late supermodel’s family is having doubts about the occasion which caused her death and has asked one of France’s most famous lawyers to file for a further inquiry by a judge.

Ramosport’s New Creative Director : Julien Fournié

The house’s creations do ally the know-how specific to outerwear and the innovative Parisian creative spirit. Retailing in 400 exclusive shops, plus at Le Printemps, Neiman Marcus…. Ramosport also has its own boutiques in Paris.  The company recently opened a flagship store in Beijing (China).

The management of Ramosport has announced during Paris Fashion Week that Julien Fournié , one of Fashionmafia’s favorite fashion designers, has been named the company’s Creative Director. He is now the head designer for all Ramosport womenswear, menswear and accessories collections.

197px-copyright_svg.pngIn a post published today, FashionReporters, reveals that, the last judgement of the French Supreme Court has rejected the appeal that some photographers had made againts the parties suing them -Chanel, Dior, Vuitton, Loewe, Gaultier and Hermes- because they had distributed the photos that they were allowed to make in 2003 at Paris Fashion Week to a website which was not on their list!

Halston, a Rebirth or a Funeral Collection at New York Fashion Week?

We were so surprised to see the video of the Halston Fall-Winter 2008/2009 [here] . Where is the American brand’s DNA? If Marco Zanini was so much looking for “modernity”, if he was so much trying to express minimalism, after beingDonatella Versace’s assitant for a quite some time, he should have started his very own line, but not take the creative helm at Halston. Even Liza Minelli, sitting front row and called to play her part of “I knew Halston very well and I admire the new designer…” couldn’t help but say: ” Maybe Halston would have put a little more jewellery…” Surely, a collection which, despite all the Hollywood fuss around it, was a deception in the eyes of many fashionistas who do not tolerate being fooled…. A Charity for Haute Couture???

The paradox must lie in the gap between gowns that sell for several hundreds of thousands of US dollars to the super rich and a series of craftsmen and ateliers who are dying.
